Are you licensed to use drones commercially?
Yes, our company is registered with the FAA to perform commercial drone work. All pilots have passed the Part 107 required certification.
Are you able to fly drones in any location?
No. Drone operations are restricted to specific rules. We are subject to Visual Flight Rules (VFR) as well as Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) and use aeronautical charts to verify location and altitude to maintain FAA compliance. Any operation outside of these areas is strictly prohibited. We use our aviation experience to understand how to operate within these constraints- and when we can’t, we’ll have a discussion with you about why we can’t perform a job.
Why use QuadraVUE? I can do it myself, or I know someone who does it Cheaper?
We know how hard it is to be an expert in things- and that’s why we’ve always taken the philosophy if you aren’t a master at it, you should outsource to someone who is. We partner with professionals in all industries who are good at what they do- specifically other photographers. We stick to what we know and are good at, which is operating drones with a creative eye. The not so great answer is that you could end up with large fines if you do the work yourself for commercial benefit without licensure- up to $1,000. If you hire someone to do the work for you who isn’t licensed by the FAA, you could be fined up to $11,000! We think this is pretty extreme, but we want to make sure you can stay focused on your day jobs and not worry about this!
